ahhhhh file extensions!!!!!

ok lads....
I have a folder that contains a movie file. The folder has changed itself to a non executable file. How do I switch this file back to a folder??? or am i doom??

| go to folder options, click the box that says to show file extensions. then rename the file with the proper extension. |

First thing i did. I could not find the proper extension. Thanx for your reply.

| Umm yah this cant happen. Folders can not become files. I think you confused or you are not properly explaning your problem. |

Ok i want to explore the folder, but i cannot open it to explore.

| virus...well, most likely. if the file icon is a small white window witha blue header (or whatever the default icon is for .exe) it probably is. i had this problem and norton couldnt fix it, scan it, and see what it can do. |
