so i went to the distrikt on friday night cause it was my brother's bday... otherwise i wouldn't go to some hip hopper club, ESPECIALLY on asian night (i'm chinese... i'm sick of asian people, =P). anyways the weird thing was halfway through the night, the dj plays, benny benassi-satisfaction (i dunno what remix). i dunno what to call this track... trance? prog? someone tell me... the point is everyone in the club went nuts... like, a good half of them had hands in the air, screaming... i was thinking... wtf??? my friends, who rag on trance, are diggin it too! these are the same people who blow trance off as "repetitive beats" and now that a dance track is being played at a "hip" club, they suddenly forget all their biases and really get into the music!
how can people who listen to 50 cent's 1 or 2 bar hooks call trance repetitive?? if you speed up any hip hop song on the radio to 140 bpm, the beats are just as repetitive as trance... if people don't like trance, fine.... but don't call it repetitive. for some reason, most people completely ignore the melody of trance.... they're so hung up on the beat and how it just keeps repeating... anyways... i'm way off topic here...
the moral of the story? everyone loves trance... they just don't know it yet! |

| i went and listened to the track again... i'm pretty sure it was the robbie rivera remix now.... and i dunno the exact definition of commercial house, but the track was played pretty fast... at least 136 bpm... so... maybe that's why it didn't sound like house to me... |

| Well, I for one am a VERY open minded person when it comes to music but I also make very few exceptions with Cheesy and z103.5 type of music, however, Not this particaular benny b track but another (forgot the name) I do like. :D |
