i was just going through some records, and i found these songs, and to me they are the same song, but with different listings, can anyone send any light if they are, and why they are named different?

Vengeance - Song to The Siren (Original Mix)

&

Lost Witness - Song To The Siren (Fable Mix)

You are right in that they are the same song - I have the vinyl which is actually Vengence - Song to The Siren (Phara Mix) - I think that it was originally named incorrectly in an Oakey essential mix and since then the name has stuck.

i have the vengeance song, and it is the original mix not the praha mix, though u maybe right about the oakey mislabelling, but the version i am comparing it to is off his perfecto presents another world CD disc 2, do you know which one was around first?

this is the thing, they have the vengeance song on there, but no sign of the fable remix on any of the releases, i presume then its just a mislabelling, it just seems a rather big mislabeling don't you think?

this has been talked about before of course, and i believe the consensus was that..

1. Yes, they are the same song

2. Lost Witness - Song For A Siren (Fable Mix) was the name it was first known as hence that is what is on Oakenfold another world, but when it finally got released the working title was changed to vengeance - song for a siren...so as i'm sure is the case with your lost witness song for a siren copy...its a promo and not an official release...
