Project 5 Issues

I just got project 5 and I'm loving it! I want to rewire it and use Cubase as the main sequencer, but I'm having some difficulties.
1. Is it possible to sequence MIDI in Cubase and send it to the Project 5 synths via Rewire? This is possible with Reason, but I haven't found a way to do this with project 5, and the manual doesn't mention it ...
2. When I press the play button in cubase, both Cubase and Project 5 start playing sequenced data, but the CPU useage goes to 100% and I just hear static, so to speak (or just like when you are using too many synths and the CPU can't handle it) However, when I press stop and try playing the synth with my keyboard, everything is OK. Can anyone explain what might be wrong.. |

Hi bro...
Im not much help on this cuz I also just bought it (in fact still waiting for delivery).
I do know from my searching that you CAN use Cubase as your main sequencer and reWire it. I saw the same question being addressed in the forums on www.kvr-vst.com. Also check out the forums at www.project5.com if you don't get any answers.
When I get my copy maybe we can share notes!;) |

really though...too lazy to click here ---> All about Project5
its a rather big beast and consumes a lot of CPU...that's about the only beef most people have with it.
But it IS a complete Workstation with synths, sequencers, pattern&loop editors, etc.
Most online stores sell it for about $299. USD.
Try ebay, I got mine there for $215 shipped direct.

| You can rewire Project 5 into any program the uses the Rewire 2 protcol (Cubase, Sonar, Nuendo, and even Logic). |
