don't let the tactless loud-mouth minority sour your TA experience. most of us are helpful.

On the topic, I own the Sony MDR-7506. Really good pair of headphones for less than $100. They are definitely more durable than my previous pair of headphones the Sony MDR-V700DJ which broke after 6 months of intense usage. If I were to get another pair, I'd get the Pioneer HDJ-1000. I've used them and they're very good.

I used Sony 700s for years and then tried the Sennheiser HD25 (not the SP) and will never probably use anything else now.

I have used a large amount of different headphones in my time as a DJ but the Senns are the best in my opinion in terms of club use and have really crisp and accurate sound.
The Pioneer that Scott mentions are also worth while but I just prefer the isolation you get from the Senns not to mention that you can get replacement parts.

How do the Senn Hd280 compare to the Hd25? Is the sound as good?
Because i have Hd25 and i'm tired of them, i want circumaural headphones... but i love their sound!

Well the price is very different for a start, but just to make sure, are you positive that it's the HD25 you are talking about and not the HD25 SP?
If you have the HD 25 then I don't see the reason to change to the 280s. I'm not a technical Wizz when it comes to headphones but I'm sure Gluegun could help you there.

Yes, i'm sure. They were my first buy as headphones because everybody reccomended me them. They were very expensive ($200).

However, i have big ears and i would prefer circumaural phones... i've used them for a while and they don't clamp my ears as they did in the beggining, but it find them unconfortable.

The only other phones i've tried were the Technics rp1210 and there's a world of difference between them, especially in accuracy and crispness.

i have 700s, and yeah i know theyll break eventually. they get alot of criticism for the boomy bass etc etc.. but honestly when i mix in clubs, the systems have a relatively boomy bass, and these headphones help when beatmatching.

i would recommend them, also try to get a replacement/repair warranty that will take care of the weak joints.

also the hdj-1000s are pretty good.. i prefer the 700s though. dont know why :)
