hi :D
I just wanted to ask if any of the relatively new hard drive based mp3 players support cue files for large mp3`s like we use for livesets
if not, is there anyone that might in the future?
which do you think
thanks y`all :D
dont wanna have to press forward for like 2 hours on a 8 hour set to listen to the last track :D |

I know iRiver does NOT support cue's but you have the option to FF @ 6x speed, so you can effectively get to the, say, 50 minute mark in about 20 sec.
Edit :: or you can get off your lazy ass and separate them yourself.:D |

not to be an ass, but 6x = 1 min / sec, so 50 minutes = 50 seconds of holding the button, not 20.
iRiver *might* incorporate cue files into next firmware updates. |

Not to be an ass but the last time I checked 6x 1sec per sec is 6 seconds per second, unless I am missing something. Which means 10 seconds per minute or 500 seconds for 50 :)
unless each time it multiplies the previous number by 2 so like 3x is 4 sec per second instead of 3, AND 4X is 8, 5x would be 16, 6x would be 32... still not a minute per second though. So my conclusion is: both of you should step away from the calculator |

i'm pretty sure 6x is 60 sec / sec because it wouldn't take you 10 minutes to ff a 50-minute mp3, that's unreasonable
takes me about 50 seconds, but that's just me  |

| While the thought of passing by a normal song in a mere 3 and a half seconds is somewhat amusing to me I really do find it hard to believe as most people don't listen to overly long uncut mp3s. Perhaps it has some sort of fastforward scaling or acceleration built in |

god dam my head hurts just reading this .. |

| ehehe |
So why is "fucker" filtered?
Anyway, if the player can FF reasonably fast, you don't really need CUE support. |
