Ok here goes my main reason...
Today in Sociology class @ the Uni... The Teacher was disscussing different cultures and sub-culters, I gave mention to the EDM scene and its hardcore followers even spoke about TA...
he was intrigued and i offered to play him what was on heavy rotation in the IPOD... James Zabiela On Kiss100 1/8/2003, let me tell you he and some of the ppl in class were blown away. Infact he changed my grade to from a B to an A! how sick is that????
I converted him he asked me where he can get more i gave him suggestions and he went of intot he sunset singing...
Now I wanna hear your stories of Conversion....

well...first off, i converted my ex bf into EDM. particulary to the sounds of tiesto and pvd..i let him borrow all my cds and he couldn't stop listening to them. whenever i come over to his apt, he had tiesto blasting :haha: heck , i even got him to go to tiesto's last gig in may at the roxy! hahaha...so that was great..he absolutely loved trance...he couldn't get enough of it. too bad that ended, i hope he still listens though, last time i spoke to him, he bought out there and back :happy2: |

| I have converted so many people into EDM its not funny. Most of the people i have reffured to TA didnt even know what the word Trance ment. Heck, my mom even makes me burn her cd's every now and then. Shes always telling me how much more she likes techno over that gangstar rap bull i used to listen to in high school:haha: |

i wouldn't call it converting but i got my mom and some friends that only listen to rap into trance
...don't get me wrong, i still appreciate rap especially good rap from back in the day :cool: |

| Yea, old school rap is alright but I love trance. Still haven't converted anyone yet. Must try harder:D |

| I converted a friend of mine that was into maralyn manson and Static X, Slipknot and like that. He IM'd me one day and told me that he was going to kill me because he didn't have any interest in his old CD's but only Tiestos. I guess i can say his favorite album was In My Memory but he didn't get too far into it. ATRC helped him through some hard times though. |

i've converted 5 people thru various djs at arc. one guy already had an open mind about it so he went into sander k in august expecting a good time. his friend on the other hand went into it disliking the stuff. it took him three hours of low end specialists and sander k for him to finally say, "i love this !!" and he had a smile on his face. two others i converted when my birthday entourage went to arc 10.24 for danny tenaglia's backups. they said, "we have newfound respect for u because u do this all night and still lead a somewhat normal life." 5th person (at least she's female!) said she didn't like it when she heard it before, but i asked if it was when she went to korean clubs and she said yeah. so i said, come to arc, danny howells is something else. sure enough, she went 12.27 (i guess the canned food discount helped too) and stayed five hours along with me and my friends! she thoroughly enjoyed herself. so those're my feats.:happy2: i guess i don't need to tell u guys this, but i wish more people understood that pop stuff on radio isn't trance or whatever genre of electronic music, and that being in a club, a big dark room, with all the lasers, music, people surrounding u... it's what makes it all a worthwhile experience.

| Doesn't sound like you converted that girl their chief. Just got her to listen. I believe that converting is making them like trance a bit more than anything else... Or something along those lines. |
