im trying to find some specs on my Technics Sa-104 reciever. it's really old and my mom had it laying around so she bought me some sony ss-mb100h's so i could use it. I'm not too knowledgable about recievers etc, but im getting the impression that my Behringer djx700 puts out more power than my reciever can handle.
i get distortion if i have the master too far up (and by that i mean higher than 2 on the master fader is too high), however theres no distortion through my pc/speakers.
Was wondering if i'm correct by thinking that my recievers just not capable of handling the wattages or something. |

| turn down the volume knob on the amp, and turn up the volume on your mixer. You're running the mixer with the volume too high and thus it's distorting. Either that or you've plugged the mixer into the phono In. Plug it into the aux, or cd in. |
