My gym dues just went up to $175/month because they want to be super-exclusive.
WTF?!?! Only rich people can afford to be in shape. I AM so mad! I loved my gym!! It was the coolest I have ever been to.
Now I will have to go to Gold's in Queens with all the juice heads.
Does anyone know any better gyms? In Astoria? Anyone belong to NYSC?

Check the Astoria Sports Complex...across the street from the Museum of the Moving Image...
I used to go there when I was in little league baseball...it was just one batting cage...now it's an entire fitness mecca...not sure of the prices though...but check that...word...peace...love you...bye... |

| Bree.....that sucks ass!!! I would never pay that much to work out. I refuse to pay $50/month to work out @ Ballys. I hate paying fees for i will never use like spas, toga classes and like that. Thats why i work out in my basement. |

used to go to Bally's but it's so damn expensive that i can't afford it anymore...now im getting thin again :whip:
will probly just get some weights and work out at home thus saving myself money and the commute to the gym |

i don't have weights..
i have about 30 seconds before WMC and this FREAKING SUCKS ASS. i jsut paid them and they shut down for two weeks for reconstruction. so i say, ok that's alright. I will workout hardcore from now until wmc. it's still good time. and they totally screwed me out of my money and changed owners and FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.
i was comfortable there. and it's too cold to even run lately. bleh.

In Manhattan (if you go right after work), there are a handful of 24-7 Fitness gyms that have memberships for $30-40 per month, and are open 24 hours.
I think NYSC on 7th Ave and 10 St is offering something like $30 memberships (with conditions, I'm sure) and is supposedly starting 24-hour operation. |

$60 a month
no contract! go month to month as long as u want.
i belive u can use any nysc in the city as well but dont quote me on it until i get the final word from the leutenant herself

my gym is in totowa, like a 25 minute drive from my house but they're still giving me (since the membership was once my brother's) a $50 a month deal, which is sweet since it's up to $70 for new members..
speaking of, since today's my day off, i should really go! |
