Hello folks !!
I'm an italian (eh, I see there are few italians on techno forums, till our radios play Eiffel65 and GG D'Agostino !!:( ) with good passion for loop music (in general, from Carl Cox to Barthezz, from Coccoluto to Aphex Twin) and for the computer programming (so the time at disposition is less with work and friends of mine).
A few months ago I've started to use Fruity Loops and Propellerheads Reason and I've found them very good !!!
I've made a song (I think the genre is Progressive-Dance, I've took inspiration from the audio loops of a lot of Playstation 2 Games and a bit from Barthezz and System F) and you can download it herehere .
Please be critical for my song cause I know I must improve a lot (on the song I think is not good the part with the stringpads and the volumes control).
Please don't look my site, is a sort of depot
For the programming part I have an idea to do with scripts a site for the function of depot and search engine of links of tracks and dj-sets to promote them.
Thanks. |

Ciao Z!
Non funziona. Non vedo l'ora di ascoltare il tuo pezzo. :)
It does bring is to the page as you correctly stated but it's the link after, that is having the problems.
Seems to be a problem with the file but I can't help you because I'm rubbish at stuff like this.
Cheers

Hey there,
Yes it finally works! ;)
You have a lot of interesting sounds going on there and some great ideas.
The most obvious thing that needs to be sorted is the kick drum. You can hardly hear it and it definately needs to be pulled forward. Same goes for most of the bass in the track as I can't actually hear a bassline.
In the first breakdown you use reverse symbals a lot and a lot of snare rolls that don't really lead to anything. Perhaps something is comming in but I just can't hear it because of the lack of bass. :) Hard to say, but I usually like to have rolls with a purpose (perhaps a taste thing).
You might also want to ease of on the explosion sound as overuse will often lesten the effect of the energy that it's supposed to give.
This track definately shows me that you have a good understanding of structure and know what you want to do, which is always a great place to start. :)
The other guys here will be able to help you more with the technical side of things as I'm still learning that stuff.
You are off to a great start and I look forward to hearing more from you. So keep 'em comming dude.
Cheers

Thanks Nem !! :)
In fact I've exceed with the fruity compressor in some channels so some sounds seems covered (bassline over all). There's only a drums loop in all the song, so I've minded to prepare it complex (2 kicks, long hat, short hat, clap, cymbal and electrodrum) applying also some FXs (are 18 FX in 9 cannels in all the song) and to use a lot of fills (wrong !!) of the most classics: crash, reverse crash, snare fill, distant explosion.
I've thinked than that fills sustain the rhythm (a quick rhythm with 140bpm)but now when I listen the song at "cold brain" the frequently fills seems useless.
The target was a pop-progressive-dance track, I think for the next track I'll work on another dance genre, just to change.
Thanks again !!
