| I just found out that Sandra Collins has a double CD release coming out this month on Perfecto. I'm very curious to see the tracklisting...has anyone seen one? |

Hi, this was supposed to be released last year! I've been after it for a while. I love her brand of pumping progressive! :D

drops her first mix album in two years via a new
worldwide deal with Thrive/Perfecto.
Sandra Collins has transcended the "female DJ" moniker to truly become one of the world’s most respected and in-demand DJ’s, and the face of the American trance/progressive scene. A quick rundown of her career achievements shows just how much of an impact she has made on electronic music culture: voted #1 DJ at the 2003 Dancestar Awards, shared URB Magazine’s 1999 "Best Female Artist" award with Lauryn Hill, won over 80,000 rock fans with her six hour set just after Moby at Woodstock ’99, critically acclaimed best selling mix CD’s for the Tranceport and Cream brands, a legendary residency alongside heavyweights Sasha, Digweed, Paul Van Dyk and Carl Cox at NYC’s Twilo, a Coca-Cola commercial, voted "Best Trance DJ" at the 1998 Global DJ Awards, tours with The Crystal Method and Paul Oakenfold, breakthrough headlining gigs at the UK’s notoriously Anglo-centric progressive super clubs, massive press coverage including Spin and an URB cover story, the list just goes on and on….
Now, Sandra prepares to take her career to the next level via her recently inked worldwide deal with Thrive/Perfecto. Perfecto Presents: Sandra Collins will mark the first mix album release for Sandra in two years, and it will also be the first double CD release for her. So what’s been going on over the last couple years? "Well, loads of touring of course, all over the world. But the biggest thing in my life since the last album would be moving back to LA from Orlando earlier this year. Since then, I’ve landed a new record deal, been a main subject in this upcoming female DJ documentary Girl…also, I’m now a part of a huge booking agency (Chaotica, who represent Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Daft Punk, Prodigy) that will allow me to do bigger events like the Midwest bus tour I just finished with Paul Oakenfold. I like doing concerts, city to city by bus- more sleep, less air miles!"
In fact, after getting out of the deal with her former label, global DJ star Paul Oakenfold (owner of Perfecto Records) was one of the first to approach Sandra with a new offer for Perfecto’s esteemed Perfecto Presents… series. The Perfecto Presents… series is arguably the most successful mix CD brand in existence, and has been the home to such classic releases as Paul Oakenfold’s Another World (the biggest selling DJ mix album ever, certified Gold in the U.S.), Seb Fontaine’s Horizons, and Hernan Cattaneo’s South America. Whereas other DJ mix CD brands sometimes focus on quantity rather than quality, Oakenfold has made it a point to only support a small group of standout DJ’s, with the focus on making each release as special as possible. Sandra states of the new relationship, "I love Paul! I do feel very comfortable with someone who I think has done a great job at keeping up his career in every aspect. I think I will be well represented."
Perfecto Presents: Sandra Collins sees Sandra keeping in tune with the emotional progressive style that she has built her career on, yet the double disc format has allowed her a bit more room to maneuver. She dips into both some darker, dancefloor-oriented numbers (Flash Brother’s "Reflections") and also some more musical vocal numbers (the Gabriel & Dresden remix of Beber & Tamra’s "Traveling On") that you might not ordinarily find in her DJ Sets. "Being my first double disc, it gave me more room to include some tracks that are not so club oriented. I’m not one dimensional, I love all types of music…expressing that was fun." Yet although Sandra has stretched her wings a bit more on the new album, fans can still count on her delivering a signature Sandra Collins set- one that moves from dark and banging to melodic and uplifting, with an epic, emotive quality that runs throughout the mix. Global superstar DJ Sasha once said of Sandra, "She plays boys’ music better than most boys do," an assertion which rings true with every listen of the new album.
Born into a showbiz family (her uncle is television producer Hall Collins of All in the Family fame; her godfather is king of comedy Milton Berle; and her mother once kept time with Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra), Sandra has always enjoyed a magnetic stage presence with her frisky attitude, stunning good looks, and rockstar disposition. At the same time, Sandra remains one of the least pretentious figures in the scene, which is perhaps the secret of her appeal: she gives the fans a larger than life figure, but one that they can wholeheartedly relate to. In addition to her popular appeal, scene veterans would also have a tough time questioning her street cred. From her humble start playing hard techno in Phoenix, AZ’s emerging desert party scene in the early nineties, to her early bookings at Frankie Bones' seminal STORM raves in Brooklyn, following Sandra’s early career is in itself following the history of American dance music culture. In fact, Los Angeles, the city with which Sandra is most often associated, was arguably the epicenter of the US dance music explosion in the early to mid nineties. Her L.A. residencies trace the history of the progressive dance music explosion in the City of Angels, including her residency at the infamous Sketchpad from 1992-95, a shared residency at Metropolis with Doc Martin and Taylor from 1995-98, and her annual headlining slot at one of Southern California’s biggest parties, the Electric Daisy Carnival (which boasts a consistent 30K + annual attendance).
Perfecto Presents: Sandra Collins is definitely worth the wait, and signals a welcome release for Sandra’s throngs of diehard fans throughout the US. Sandra kicks off national CD release tour in late January (dates to be announced shortly). She is currently available for interviews.

| I wouldn't take that tracklist for anything more than speculation. There are other songs that are confirmed to be on the comp that aren't on the list, so it's really not accurate. |

Yeah some of those tracks sounded really mainstream for Sandra and I was surprised. Then again, she did say it was going to be a little different then what she spins live. Guess we'll have to wait and see to be sure.
