Alright, TAs ... all you hockey fans, you are probably well aware of the fact that there is a bitter rivalry going on between cross-town rivals New York Rangers and New York Islanders, with Rangers unbeaten in most of the last 10 meatings between the two teams.
But who do you think is better? Who do you think has a better chance to win a Stanley Cup? Which of the two will finish higher at the end of the regular season? Will the Rangers miss the playoffs again?
Enlighten me ... share your opinions! |

| Oh, by the way, I am choosing the Rangers ;-) they have lots of money, a fine team that needs a shake-up and they GOTTA MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THIS SEASON, OR SOMEONE IS GOING DOWN BIG TIME! I like the team overall, and Isles are a dirtier team ... Great franchise history too, though Isles might be a bit better in that department ;) |

Gonna have to go with the Islanders :D The Rangers always disappoint - over-priced talent doing nothing. Yashin's been a bum the past few years, but before he got injured he was playing well - when he does return, who knows, maybe we'll see the Islanders in the playoffs. The Isle just have too many younger players with a larger upside then the Rangers do - a la Trent Hunter, and diPietro. The Rangers, just like Slacks are just too old.
My vote goes for the team on Long Island :)

Islanders.
Cliff Ronning seems to have been a good aquisition. |
