this, imo, is a VERY easy question.
there's no doubt that the Dutch producers/djs
DOMINATE the trance world especially....
without them we would never be where we are
in trance. Long live the Netherlands |

Netherlands has the big three trance djs but for prestige and vairety its gotta be the UK
Oakenfold, Judge Jules (both pre 2000), Digweed, Sasha, Norman Cook, Carl Cox, TDV, Danny Rampling now they are proper djs |

UK for sure... Sasha,digweed,seaman,nick warren,ect.
but everyone raggs on the US for djs and there are many outstanding djs from the US or even North America that can easily hang with the europeans |

well, obviously you have to distinguish between trance and techno dj's
actually i woud agree, that best trance dj's come from the netherlands.
BUT - i ain't like trance pretty much, or alternativly spoken: i prefer intelligent, progressive, monotoneous techno.
DJ's from Germany are of course the very famous Chris Liebing or Sven Vaeth. But Vaeth is only famous, he's not good in producing or mixing techniques I think. He has grown the techno-culture in Germany (Frankfurt) oder Spain (Ibiza) but he's not that god of new styles etc.
An underground tipp: Keep your eyes open and look out for Shee-La, she's from Cologne and I think she even topps Chris Liebing or Adam Beyer.
My favourite style of techno comes from Italy.
Gabry Fasano, Marco Carola and Mauro Picotto. Picotto transforms his style from EP to EP. He creates new styles, new sounds and has his own very personal and significant technique of mixing tracks. I recommend the Alchemist, Alchemy and TaoTek EP. To my mind I think that these are for now his best works.
Additionaly I must say that PETDuo from SaoPaulo, Brasilia is an amazing DJ - Duo, also as hard as PETDuo - Sven Wittekind from Switzerland or Germany, don't know. |

| just somethings I notice but all the DJs I really like are normally outside of the US and normally european, but to narrow it further than that, I'm not really sure |
