Well im about to move house into rented, so my cd collection will be in boxes for the next 3+ months. im kepping my fave 100 discs at hand and have ripped most of them. hopefully my parents will find somewhere to live asap!
Ive also had the discs insured for a total of £15,000 even though i consider them worth more than money itself. some of them can't be replaced.
how would you guys cope without access to Music, DJing etc etc?! i guess im going to become a complete mp3 whore and go clubbing a bit more!
my collection (for those that are interested):

Wow dude, that's quite the collection you got there, how many is that, estimated.
Heh, I would rip your favorite ones like you did and put them on an mp3 player or whatever you have. I have been away from my music collection for 2 months once before and it was hard, just go out clubbing alot and listen to your favorite tracks, makes it easier. |

i think its just under in 2000 all together (i deliberately go t them insured for more than they are worth (Probably closer to half that 15k). i did log them at one point, but stopped short on 900ish as it takes forever. when i get them back i think ill sort them out properly and add to the log again!
were yours in storage or anything like that. im really worried theyre going to get damaged in someway. ive tried to protect them the best i can, but its not making me feel any better! |

I just didn't see the point to go on about how many cds you have. I mean, I could come on and show pics of my records but what's really the point? |

lol, i never stated or went on at all about how many cds i had, UNTIL i was asked after you had already made that reply... check it for yourself.
and yes, it just so happens i am actualyl quite proud of that collection, its taken me along time to backlog past releases and keep up-to-date with the latest etc. I think im one of the few people on this board who could actually say i own more cds then i have mp3s on my computer. just a thought, i dont want to argue. ill remove the picture if it bothers you that much?! |

Well posting the picture and stating the value you insured them for isn't really necessary. Everytime somebody moves address should they show their music collection and value it?
Whatever, no point in arguing anymore. |
