| What's the best ? and why ? what's the difference ? |

it depends on the quality of the rip and etc
but if it was ripped in same bitrate\same encoder\same soundcard etc etc
id say that the vinyl rip would be better
vinyl is the ultimate sound quality
cd is something like "a compressed vinyl"
but you other than that, i dont think the difference is so big
sure sounds veryyyyy similiar
well this is what i think
dont know if its 100% correct

| well vinyl rips do have static or crackling sounds, while cd rips are pure digital data. i don't mind either quality. they're both good. |

this is uneducated guess.
but i know mp3's are cd quality.
so i would think that unless you ripped the recording at a bitrate higher than cd quality (dunno what that is). then vinyll would sound better because it would have cleared sound.
if however you ripped it at a moderate bitrate like say 128. then i think they would sound the same as they are both being recorded at a set quality. Even though vinyll would play nicer it won't be recorded to its full potential.
uneducated guess here. |

Off course cd-rips are better quality.. (if ripped good.. and encoded above 160kbps)..
But it's great when a vinyl is almost perfectly ripped... give such rippers credits... cause it's much tougher than ripping vinyl than cd's... |
