does anyone know of any sites or programs that will make my xp nicer to work with, ie. desktop weather/news plugins etc
and a shelled winamp etc? |

Bog down that processor some more why don't ya? While you're at it, make sure you install GAIN/Gator plus any other kind of spyware & adware you can too. |

yeah i do agree that XP is ing but i gotta work with it as its my OS from now, 98 ive been working with for 6 years and well, its a bit unstable, loads of errors and BSODS
but i just want a few desktop enhancements like analog clocks/weather news bar etc. none of this gator crap, i had that on 98 and it did nothing but kill my browser |

screw the add-ons... they just kill your resources. stop being lazy and go to www.weather.com when you want to know the weather. :D

| well built notifiers rob you of very little resources, that being said, I've never actually needed one so I can't really help you out. I use Rockettime to calibrate my clock, but it's not freeware anymore (used to be)... there are other progs that do the same thing though. WinXP actually has a built in clock calibration tool but i don't like it. |

| To the best of my knowledge, there isn't one weather forecast program that sits on your desktop which isn't spyware/adware. |

i used to go to it when i first got WinXP since i need to tweak the thing since it chugged abit of memory...
I suggest this site since you just got XP on ur pc...
I dun't know about mod's so sorry can't help you there... |
