haha my mom still lives like 5 min away from fashion mall. and don't forget about the new Oasis part of Sawgrass Mall with that huge movie theater and Hard Rock Cafe and all those shops and restaurants. and downtown Ft.Lauderdale (which is like only 10 min away from Plantation if you just shoot up Broward Blvd.) has the Beach Place on AIA and then there is Riverfront in downtown with the phattest clubs i think...Voodoo Lounge, Chili Pepper, Stereo, Iquana Cantina and shopping and all that stuff. Ft.Lauderdale rocks i think. oh, and Las Olas Blvd. with all those fancy shops and restaurants..i love it there. ever been to Mangos?? that's my fav. restaurant. Miami is just ing insane. hahah too much goin on all the time. plus i live in butt Kendall right now. i moved here to live with my bf. but we are outta here by Sept.1 cuz we are moving somewhere more north. we are looking in Aventura and Miami Lakes and the Doral area by the Airport. i can't wait! i like it better in N.Miami. |

DAAAMMM .... noo !! I dont like South .. ggggrrrr. noooo.. where you are is too in there , if you know what I mean , in that case I choose Plantation, what it has is SPACE .. 595 traffic is crazy though.
And well, Aventura, where Im at, is great !! you have access to I 95 in mins, and your in the middle of both las olas and south beach, got everything close, the beach, and aloot of new stuff developing, hotels, and buildings, all 5 stars and so on .. the mall has the 24 AMC, and all the shops cents you know off, the biggest burdines, plus, is pretty nice looking city.
So yeah , if your are to move, Id say Aventura cause its got everything relatively near. Another choice can be Sunny Isles, is next to Aventura, this is the city in the beach. Miami Lakes is also nice, but the city you said by the airport ( DORAL ).. consider the airplanes noise !
Anyways, I understand your frustration , and know why Plantation wins the flag there.:p ;) :)
I may move to Weast Palm Beach .... gggggrrrrrrr.... now that sux !!! |

I have to agree that WPB sucks! too far and nothing to do there (my best friend lives there, its an hour and a half drive for me!!)
kendall is wayyyy too far south though... i had some friends that moved up here from there because they wanted to be able to speak english when they go to the gas station.
miami lakes and aventura is a nice area though liquid... one thing i think is funny though, is how the "cut off" part of hialeah and figure if they call it "miami lakes", it will attract a nicer crowd... oh well, seems to have worked, huh?
i live on las olas right near A-1-A, basically on the beach. but yeah we have riverfront and bayfront (but they all suck in my opinion anyways...) if i want a good time, i go down to Shadow Lounge anyways. and yes, i've gone to Mango's many times, its a walk from my house!

And yes, a great spot to be in is south beach , the nightlife there, clubbers, the chicks , ( although to many people from the other side , if you know what I mean ) besides that, its all kewl there..

That is one thing i HATE..... you never know when a damn GAY night pops up in a club.... my friends and i went to Crobar last year, and it was Gay night!!!! We had no way of knowing this, there were no signs, i guess it was just "expected" of you to know....
Needless to say, i have NEVER been back to Crobar since, and don't ever plan on going back (except in february for the winter music conference, but that was different)...
I try to stay away from the "certain" clubs that tend to veer that direction, if you know what i mean.... not saying there is anything wrong with gays, i just dont want to be near them in a club environment.... they already have more clubs down here than we do anyways...

I once went to space, on a friday night, didnt know either about the gay thing, got in , then I see all this gays doing all their stuff, since Im straight, got the hell out right away ...:whip:
And about the SPACE event .. well, MEKKA is using local clubs and outside the club to have the event running, so here in miami SPACE is used for the mekka tour, so the SPACE event is BASED on the mekka, is like been borrowed for the mekka ... so, if theres no mekka, no event in SPACE, if theres mekka, event in space .. vise versa.:whip: |

but if they are going to go whether or not the Mekka tour goes, why don't they JUST CALL IT PART OF THE TOUR!????

PS - i had one friend who is straight but used to go to gay clubs, (and get this), there are always lesbians at gay clubs, and sometimes they bring their straight roommates along or whatever, and my friend would go and pretend he was gay, but talk to the girls there. Then, after a conversation and some drinks, he'd make them think they changed him back into "straight" or whatever....
i've seen this guy do it, man he scores ALL THE TIME! you'd be surprised....

The entire 2001 North American Mekka tour, styled after European summer dance music festivals and featuring big name DJs like BT, Deep Dish, Oakenfold and Tiesto, has been postponed until 2002. It had been scheduled to kick off this weekend in Detroit and Toronto.
“We just didn't give ourselves enough time to put it together. Production and promotion of the tour started too late...
