Just got this double CD today.
I actually dunno how to write long reviews but I'll give it a try The majority of the first CD got very housy sounds in fact there's nothin wrong with that I gotta say I really like it,kicking off with Tiefschwart - No more Trouble featuring quite funny and fukd up sample it takes you on a long trip and just makes ya wanna go clubbin'.Also there are tracks that a lot of people paid attention to are Warrior - Voodoo (Oliver Lieb mix),Mauro Picotto - like this like that (Hi-gate's mix) can't be called house in fact I can't even identify the type of track selections Judge chooses,in my opinion it's just a bunch of clubby tunes that from his point of view get you in a vibe of summer and just dancin till the morning...
The 2nd CD is what I liked the most.In some way,it's got very bassy sounds of Joy Kitikonti,Picotto's mix on U2 and such.
I'd personally recommend this release to any1 out there who's been following up to what basically Judge has been spinning since the beginning of the year on Radio 1 shows and stuff like that.
Peace out.

i downloaded both of the cds from ag.not bad. a little too housey/clubby for my taste. i can't seem to identify his style really either. although i think live @ qontact was decent, i think the the concensus is that the judge is cheese :sadgreen:

I wouldn't say he plays cheeze,he is really good there's a few reasons why I actually admire him, he got very pumpin sets unlike other UK Radio 1 DJ's Pete Tong,Seb Fontaine,Danny Rampling adn so on, they are all the same to me but Judge dererves to get the top.

I saw him over the weekend.... and while he pld, i found myself on the grass looking into the sky..
When picotto came on... where was i? With the mad people danceing in the sand!
Same when big al came on..

Jules pld some , infact - i dont recall one good track at all!

He is always the same. sometimes he plays a good banging set.
eg Live at Escape club, from Zeus cardiff, Qontact etc

then sometimes when i see him - he just sucks.
ffs - i prefered Dave "cheese" pearce to Jules this weekend, and thats saying somthing!
The []Drodigy
yeah?
And how do u define the word cheese?
patticus
there's a whole thread on it.. "the definition of cheese"
patticus
dude im trying to get a hold of you
but your damn msg box is full!

I wouldn't define the Judge's sets as "cheese", ok - maybe some of it is more commercial, but you have to admit he does play alot of hard bangin' tunes that you wouldn't normally hear on the radio.

I wouldn't mind getting this compilation actually...anyone know where I can download it?

I've seen jules live many many times and listened to loads of his mix cds livein i britain his radio show on radio 1 is always on and the general censensus is that jules is cheese e will play the wooden spoons if he thinks it will make him popular. Sorry to slag him off but there are so many other amazeing DJs out there :whip:
