help with burning cd's

my computer doesn't like the idea of burning cd's when i split tracks, it always throws up an error and spits the cd out, it's fine if i don't split the track, which kinda rules out the CD-R drive being ed, so i am stumped as to what it could be:conf:

Anybody

split it first in a wav program then slap em in to nero, take out the 2sec gaps and burn. That's the way i do it.

or devise a cue file and use a marvelous program such as fuerio cd burner. its ing magic for burning audio cd's. it can't burn anything else tho :)
i have different burning apps for different , like i use alcohol for burning image files, nero for .nrg image files, and fuerio for music.

link to feurio (its free) http://www.feurio.com/

make sure you get latest aspi drivers and the latest cd writer patch for it, should be able to find them all on that site.

okay, any suggestions as to what program to use to split the wav file(preferably a free/trial one), I tried splitting it using nero, and it just fell over again. The error said 'power calibration error'

power calibration error means your burning laser can't power up correctly, meaning its burnt out.
Thats what happened to mine so i had to buy a new one. It will read fine, but just refuses to write.

i thought the cd burner might be shafted, but if i don't split the tracks, it burns fine, that's what is confusing me:conf:

tu-face, cheers, I'll give you a shout if i get it, want to see if my burner shagged first

try the cue file technique then... and load it up and burn in that feurio app i gave a link to. you dont actually have to physically split the tracks then, but it will place a split for each track on your cd so you can select tracks.
