Yo guys +girls

Well ive just recently purchased a new Writer, and im just wondering which are the best cdr to burn with. Ive heard different underside colours mean better burning, eg green are better than blue etc etc. So can u TA's shed any light on an unknown topic.

to tell you the truth, it doesn't matter
just find a cdr compatible w/ your burner
ie. buy like 5 diff ones the 1st time
and whichever one works buy those from then on
coz some cdr's are not compatible w/ some writers

of course if you want the very very best. like the best durability you should get the kodak gold...
but i don't see the point in doing so.
TurboGS-R
i just buy the cheapest ones i can find. the quality is practically the same with every kind IMO. or atleast i don't see or hear any differences.

I bought my 16x writer a month ago
When i bought it , i took 10 Verbatim 16x compatible CD's , i burned them all successfully . 2 weeks ago i needed to buy some CD's again , but i couldn't find Verbatim . Then i took some stupid CD's manufactured in Switzerland . Out of 10 i could burn only 6 CD's successfully . Trust me the best brand is VERBATIM

dude, you can't burn all cd-r's at 16x
make sure the cd-r's u buy can be burnt at that speed...
i've burnt maybe 150+ cd-r's so far on my 8x burner, and they have ALL been succesfull

there are difference in cds...some cds are better for audio some are better for computer...some cds skip like a bitch!!!...and it also depends on ur burners ...some burners kickass some dont....i have a Ricoh DVD/CDR-CDRW writer that plays also dvds....but i cost me about 450$ and well IT SUCKS BIG DICK!!! hehehe im serious always finds errors on Memorex Cdrs or any cdr i have...when in fact they work on someone elses cdrs.....sucks.....but i think the best CDburner brand is SONY
Transa
I highly recommend:

Tdk cdr-xg Reflex disks,there the .
Also superb are bargain ones,bush cd-r 80's,80 minutes,you get 60 in a pack,all in cases,in a huge box,and i get them for £15 a box,and i have had no errors at all,data,or audio.

oh,and also i have to correct you here, when it comes to the colour underneath your disks,it is irrelivant. What is however important is the level of darkness, and transparency in your underside dye.You really want as dark as possible a dye and u dont want to be able to see ANYTHING through it!
