Changing Pitch without altering BPM

Hmm, I've had a look through some old posts but cant find an answer to this particular question!
Is it possible to alter a pitch/key of a tune/WAV without actually altering the BPM (I mean production wise, not DJ'ing)? If so can you recommend a program with the best results? Ta! :D |

Hmm...Audacity was pap. Cool Edit does a fanny tastic job of altering pitch while keeping perfect sound but also slows the bpm. Doh! :(
I'll give Sound Forge a spin! Keep 'em comin!! :D |

| Basically any program that uses an entierly digital algorithm, that is, it doesn't try to emulate analog machines. |
