Technics come with both rubber and felt slipmats. The included felt slipmats are completely fine for DJing.
In fact, from a technical standpoint, they're much better than a lot of other slipmats that are covered in graphics. The graphics are just a little harsher than pure felt on the undersurface of vinyls when backspinning and scratching. The included felt Technics slipmats only have a few words on them, and thus, they are perfect for DJing.
Enjoy your 1210's! |

my Mk2s didnt come with felt slipmats. only the big rubber ones.
Maybe if you bought them in a package from a store they throw in the technics felt slipmats. |

same here. my MK2s didnt come with felt slipmats either. i was really bummed when i opened them up and all i had was those heavy rubber mats. i ended up getting some esdjco slipmats from the virgin megastore in boston. they're nice and thin and slippery, i like them.

| Only M3D's and MK5's come with technics splimats. And they're not that good. Not very slippery... |

Well my M3Ds came with some slippery plastic sheets to stick between the platter and the felt slipmates it came with. These make it real slippy because even if they record sticks to the slipmat, the underside of the slipmat will slide easily over the wax paper stuff. |

| Maybe they're all sold like that... i don't know, cause i bought my MK5's in secondhand, and they only came with the technics slipmats and the sicmats "dj". Looks hedious, but it's the best slipmat i've ever seen/touched. |
