anyone else here besides me and whiskers play ultimate frisbee?
or hell...anyone else ever heard of it?
season's not starting for another few months, but a bunch of us high schoolers got together and rented a field at an indoor dome to play fo r 2 hours every monday evening
i'm playing tonight...so ing psyched even tho i still got scrapes on my knees from last week (turf ing sucks)

I was just wondering what happened to smells
We play a game that's a mixture of european handball and ultimate frisbee. Smaller nets, and you can take three steps and a jump before you have to get rid of the frisbee. Medium contact in play, full contact out of play and in the crease. Good times. |

eh they're a lil worse, but the lil black things!
last week i had one sweet bid into the back corner of the end zone and i had one hand down as i slid so i could keep level while i caught the disc
caught it, but the hand i had down just sprayed up tons of those black rubber things and i swallowed a crapload of em, got a few in my eyes, bleh
and one guy last year got a blister in his foot and the black things got in it, then it healed and he had this black spot on his foot :nervous: |

oh yeah ultimate frisbee is great
but have u played Disc Golf? ITs a great hybrid between frisbee and golf..the course here in Blacksburg is very mountanious and hilly and stuff. Its really fun to go with a bunch of friends late at night. We tape glowsticks on the discs so we can find them when they land off in the underbrush
we also bring along a duffel bag full of beer too. I had one of my best nights when i was hammered out of my mind on screwdrivers.
heh i was falling all over the hill and swinging on trees it was awesome.
Oh yeah one time when we went again during the day my roomate saw a snake and being the stupid Eagle boy scout he is, he tried to catch it and he ended getting bit by the snake. lol we had to turn around and walk back to our car b/c he didnt know if it was poisonous or not. On the way back we had to tell the other people to stop throwing their discs cos we were walking thru and that our stupid roomate got bit by a snake.
And closure- it was just a garden snake or something and he didnt die.
