hmm
lets say:
--A pair of technics and a mixer costs on average £500 (just going on rough ebay prices)
--Burger king pays £4.50 an hour (does it? i have never worked there i wouldnt know?)

111 hours of 'you want fries with that?' and you will have the turntables you desire

get cooking boyo

:)

p.s dreams cost nothing- its turning them into reality that takes time effort and cashola

hey man
So far, djing has cost me:
1 fiancee
A few girlfriends
plenty of friends (when i cant make their nights out/birthdays/whatever)

All about choices

If you want to do it bad enough, you will find a way

try and get your first pair of tables used and cheap, just some direct drive ones. you will probably get some cheapo needles and cartridges with it, but thats fine, you dont need all that much high cost equpment to get into spinning trance. i would probably try to make sure to get pretty good headphones, and a mixer that has a knob for changing the headphone cue vol(% of each table going through to the headphones, probably not called 'cue vol', oh well). the effects and other doodads the higher cost mixers have are fun, and useful, by by all means NOT a necessity. so by dodging the tables and mixer high prices you should be able to get going relatively cheap. get into more and more and just build on your equpment, 1 table at a time. thats my 2 cents-

but, your tables and equip are a one time fee, your vinyl will suck your wallet dry little by little till the end of your mising days. :whip:
good luck-

ive gotten some of my equip on ebay (risky) but i got some good stuff cheap. best shot is to find a local branch of a board of some kind and post on there asking for anyone selling tables, thats how i got my first ones.
