lol, I'm not even going to begin trying to calculate everything. I'll do PS2...
Playstation 2
Console - $300
3 PS2 Memory Cards - $70
1 PSone Memory Card - $15
TV Adapter - $30
Extra Dual Shock Controller - $30
DVD Remote - $30
Vertical Stand - $15
23 Games - approx $50 a pop
Total = $1,640 :eyes:
Holy ! That's like a good full exhaust system for my car (header, cat convertor, and catback exhaust) plus like a carbon fiber hood and some other . Some of that stuff was a gift but still...
Plus I've owned N64, Genesis, SNES, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance too. |

If you only had an idea of what a custom built system is like...
I do believe the creator of this thread was looking for console system totals. PC does not = console. Well, maybe Xbox. :p |

x-box= $200
controller = $25
4 games(new) = $200(total)
N64= $250
controler = $30

7 or 8 games(don't own it anymore and not sure)=$200-250

oh shove it...you do realize this spans back to SNES when i prolly paid $120+ to buy it, not to mention the $70 they were charging per cart back then!
as of recent/now its:
PS2:
$300 with
9 games @ $50 with two slightly discounted
GC:
$100 with
Star Wars RS2 included above, and
NFS:U $50
F0 $50
Metroid Prime $35 (worth every penny, system included)

| It depends on what kinda games you play. FPS rule the PC. I prefer 3rd person action / adeventure games. Legacy of Kain, Tenchu, CastleVania....those are console type games. Fighting games on the PC? Forget it. I bet Prince of Persia controls much better on the PS2 than your PC. Yeah the money is a point but 2 years from now you have to upgrade your Pc too- and that cost a hella lot more than a new console evry 4-5 years. I like games for both formats, but for different reasons. The cosole industry DWARFS the PC industry too. But more popular dosen't always mean better. |
