N.E., generally speaking, has the better defense. Yes, Caroline has the best d-line but the Pats have better backers and secondary.
Offensively speaking, Carolina has a better running game but the Pats have one the best run defenses around. Carolina is also a team that does not throw the ball all that well, ironically the Pats have the best secondary so I expect Carolina to run a lot with Foster.
The Pats offense SUCKS at running the ball. Given that Smith has had some games over 100 yds rushing, it doesnt change the fact that they suck at running and are going up against the best d-line in the NFL. I expect the Pats offense to keep doing short passes to the outside, and prolly will excel against one of the weaker secondaries in the league. Because of the "passing" factor I expect the Carloina d-line not to be a huge factor and the Pats having one of the better O-lines in the league.
Unless somehow Carolina can contain the New England Pass offense (unlikely), this looks like a Patriot win. |

| Carolina will win. Brady got lucky a couple of yrs ago with the tuck rule or it would have been the Raiders in the Superbowl. Plus, NE doesnt play will unless they are in there stadium. Look at all of there away games. And it's always fun to root for the underdog. just my .02 |

well I really really hate the Pats so I ll be rooting for Carolina. But I think the pats will win but it will be close and low scoring.heres how the last 9 super bowls have fared
Super bowl 29 49ers blow out chargers
30-dallas wins a relatively close game
31-Packers Blow out Pats
32-Denver wins close game
33-Denver Blows out Atlanta
34-Rams win by a yard
35-Ravens blow out Giants
36-Pats win on last minute field goal
37-Bucs Destroy Raiders
38-so as you can see the trend says that this years game will be close. |

I'm still a little annoyed that the Seahawks aren't there, but I'm going for New England for special reasons.
Sometimes, you have to go deep into the NFL Record Book. The Patriots will not only win the Super Bowl, but also become the team of the decade. :) However I could be wrong.:(
The last 4 dynastys (Packers, Steelers, 49res, and Cowboys), had only 2, 3, or 4 losing seasons and won their first two World Championships. In the 60's, the Packers lost in 1960 to the Eagles before winning two straight against the Giants.
The Steelers after losing to the Dolphins twice, were able to clinch their first two Super Bowl Championships. Miami would've been the team of the 70s if Larry Csonka and the other Dolphins never went to play in the WFL (WORLD FOOTBALL LEAGUE; 1974-76).
In the Eighty's, the Raiders and 49res were the best. The Raiders won their first two Super Bowls before the 49res did. But in the 1984 Playoffs, they lost to the Seahawks at Seattle in the Wild Card Round. Since then, the Raiders in LA would never go back to the Super Bowl and the 49res set the pace for winning 4 World Championships.
In the 90's, the Cowboys had to first suffer a huge loss to Detroit in the 91 Playoffs and then win their first two Super Bowl Championships in 92 and 93. The Cowboys won again in 95. The Broncos might have been the team of the Nineties if they would have not lost to Jacksonville in 96 or if John Elway would've stayed one more time for chance at a three peat.
These teams were also eliminated only 3 to 5 times in the Playoffs.
So it all depends. If the Patriots win their second straight Super Bowl, if they keep up the success, they will become the team of the decade. If they lose, another team will take the rankings. It may be Baltimore, Tampa Bay, St. Louis, Carolina, or possibly even Philadelphia. whoa |

Panthers will cover the spead (currently they are -7) but Pats will win by a Field Goal or 2
Also, I think the score will be under the current Over/Under (37 1/2 now) so if I had to pick a score I'd say
Pats:13
Panthers:7 |

Pats all the way!!
Although I have a lot of respect for Delhomme, it would be sad to see him lose now considering how far he's gotten. |
