im not saying i encourage you to try this, but would it be possible to make your own web site(you wouldnt even have to put it up, you'd just have to have a print out), and put whatever semi-resonable price you want on there, and bring it to guitar center and just buy it there... if they were to go to whatever site you make, they would obviously get a "this page cannot be displayed" page, and you could just say the site must be down... they couldnt really complain, or say any differently. or, you could actually put the site up just long enough for them to cross check things, but not long enough for anyone who wouldnt know to stumble upon the site and actually try to buy things at your own insanely low prices...

idk.. just an idea. emphasis on idea

Most of the time, they don't really check as long as you have a printout. However, they won't go below their cost if the price quote you bring in is lower.

I had them price match when I was getting my DNS3000 with Djmart (I think it was djmart .. was an online store anyway). Just have a printout and if it's a reasonable price, they'll mark it down.

unless your imaginary website is an authorized dealer.... they probably won't match the price...

I just had guitar center pricematch for a djm3000 last week. Their list price was $899, lowest price I could find from an authorised dealer was $720, and guitar center beat that price by $10. I went there with with my all printouts with price quotes and the guy didnt even check , he said seems like you have done your hw. Now I'm like I should have given them a lower price to beat:gsmile:

so cyro, worst case if you bring a quote from any authorised dealer they will most probably pricematch.

they do pricematch with etronics. i got them to pricematch both of my decks and my headphones. some of the guys are very comission hungry and will beat your pricematch by 5 bucks.

I've bought 2 synths from there using pricematch. I just printed out the website page that had the synth really cheap and broughtt it in when bought it.
