Even before emerging from the drum 'n' bass underground via her first major-label record in '97, DJ Rap was considered one of jungle's best producers and one of the best mixers in the business. She launched several hardcore/jungle classics of the early 90's, including Engineers Without Fears' "Spiritual Aura." She'll unleash a set of furious house tracks, a few breaks, and samples from her latest album Touching Bass. Her 1999 release Good To Be Alive hit number 5 on the Dance charts.

btw, i don't think i'll be going to this. i only make it to The Rave if there's something i REALLY want to see. i saw DJ Rap w/ Ferry in Chicago, and she didn't impress me much... |

Does anyone who was at the Ferry and Rap show backin Nov. know the name of that AcDc remix Dj Rap dropped?!?! That track was awesome and I dont think I had ever heard the origanl ACDC tune b4 either.
BTW I thought her mixing skills were very poor, but great track selectin!

I hear the rave's security personnelle suck.
I didnt' have so much of a problem with her mixing skills back in Nov... *shrug* maybe it helps to have her bf be steve smooth of IHR? |

I had it set on high-speed 15 multi-shot (not all online). I thought it would take at the default setting I set (640x480 super-fine), but for multi-shots, it is only 128x120.
eh. fun night though
