nook-yoo-lar... nucular... nuclular... nuclurar... damn

to be like bush, you gotta be either a complete retard or a complete genius.

"NOOK-YOO-LAR" pure genius ;)
mr. poopyhead
you'd think SOMEONE would've told bush by now that the word is NU-CLEAR, and not NOOK-YOO-LAR. it's not one of those funny words with a silent H or some ed up rule like that. how hard is it to read exactly what's on paper? NUCLEAR...

it's reassuring to know that the man in charge of the world's largest nuclear arsenal can't even pronounce NUCLEAR.
Mebot
"hehehehe you said nuclear! its pronounced NOOclir dummy! the S is silent!"
davinox
people who get on others for pronunciation are annoying.

I say "Nook-yoo-lar" as well, even though i am well aware of its correct pronunciation "new-clear". I would not consider myself an idiot. people don't often speak in correct grammar and pronunciate everything correctly all the time. it doesn't mean they don't KNOW what IS correct grammar or pronunciation.

granted, he should pronounce it correctly while giving a speech...

What if you heard someone say 'brook' instead of 'book', repeatedly disregarding the fact that there is no R in book. It's a display of ignorance, albeit a small one. What sort of statement is that? It's your language, speak it properly.

i don't usually harp on people about grammar, but as the leader of the most powerful nation on earth, i think he should be obligated to show some kind of competency when it comes to the english language. i mean, if it's ok for the president to mispronounce stuff (in official speeches no less), then what kind of example are you setting for kids? that it's ok to disregard proper grammar and pronunciation?

he can use bad grammar all he wants while he's on his ranch, but when giving public speeches to his country and the world? come on... learn some english...
