| i dunno if that's friendly fire. it looks like iraqi's rummaging through some US vehicles. cuz if you look there's 3 vehicles and only 3 guys. why would the US put one guy in each vehicle? also one of them is a pickup truck...not the best war vehicle if you know what i mean. furthermore they dont have any equipment on their heads...no helmet and no nightvision goggles. kinda odd not to use nightvision if you're on a mission at night. also, i dont think that guy waves a flag...if you look closely it looks like part of his clothing blowing in the wind(keep in mind iraqi's wear loose cloths) when he steps down the stairs of the truck he's on right before he's shot. and as for not shooting someone who's injured, you dont shoot an enemy and leave him injured cuz he could make it back to base or to a hospital to get fixed up and come back into action...not something you wanna leave to chance in a war situation. and last, if they were our guys on the ground then the guys in the helicopter would have a way to radio them or someone else who can confirm if they're friend or foe. i dunno, just my thoughts... |

agreed. also the video starts with the 3 guys on the far right side where you later notice the pickup truck to be(which we all know to be a popular vehicle used by iraqi's), so they probably drove out there to see what they could find. |

Exactly! So why does it need a ing apache helicopter to blow it up?

It may make “tactical” sense to kill the injured, but it’s a bastard thing to do. |

| i'm not saying everything they did was justified 100%, i'm just saying i can see why they did what they did. also, do you think the helicopter gunner shoulda let the wounded guy crawl around a while?? it's not like we'd send some of our men to go capture him...same thing with the truck, i bet the helicopter was the closest thing in the area so they blew up the truck to immobalize the enemy, they dont want other iraqi's coming along and using it. also, it doesnt make sense to send out a platoon to kill 3 guys when you already have a helicopter that's right there that can do it...and if you listen close one of the guys goes "you wanna hit the other truck?" with the other one replying "wait for movement on the truck." so it basically came down to a better safe than sorry situation. |
