because your probably talking about the first ttx-1's that came out which had smaller heatsinks which would cause it to slow down slightly when using for longs periods of time. but after they recalled it and reissued the new ones with a larger motor heatsink they haven't had problems at all. people have spun 10 hour sets with no loss of torque. not to mention it already has higher torque and matches technics in all categories. i've talked to a good number of well qualified dj's who only praise the ttx's. jus becuz there is a new product that matches the technics doesn't mean everyone has to trash it. so wut if its just as good, it just gives us more options to choose from rather than just one brand.

How long have the TTX'1's been around. Like just over a year?... The Technics have been around for about 25+ years. They have been used in the most harsh DJing situations, They have BARELY changed in there lifespan. And yet they are still number one. The MAIN purpose of a TT is to play a record on pitch. The Techs have 1.5 kg of torque. And anyone that has used Techs knows that they are amazing strong. Hell my decks have 2.2 and my buddies Techs still feel and perform stronger. So just because the TTX's have 3.5 or 4 or whatever the hell it is, doesn't make them better.

Someone mentioned the fact that TTX's have been used for 10 hour sets. Good for them. Techs have been used for longer, MUCH longer sets. I am not saying that the TTX's are crap decks, They are really good decks. But they still have ALOT to prove before you start seeing them (if ever) replacing the Techs in all the clubs.

Personally, I think for the basic function of a TT the TTX's have too many toys and gimmicks to get in the way.

To each his/her own.
To me, the TTX's are just another fad... :haha:

I don't like Numark gear. TTX-1 is too hi-tech for me, it will never replace the good old 1210's. ;)

Hahaha:stongue:

Actually I'm thinking of getting a pair of TTX1's, they seem to be well worth the price and have a good resale value to boot. Sure the TTX1's have lots of features (compared to 1210's), and you're paying for those features, but I believe that the more freedom the technology offers you, the more creative you can be. If you can't think of a good way to utilize +-50% pitch, well, I guess you just aren't creative enough. In which case the TTX1's aren't for you. And that's ok too.

numarks new stuff is because the bought over a company called alesis.
alesis is/was an amazin company that did funcky stuff with digital processing. numark are incorperating alesis tech into theres. anyone who thinks that numark stuff is rubbish should know about what is going on with the technology before slating them.
every company in the dj equipment business fear numark right now because of what they now have to play with.

it is only at the begining!!
