Today I'm mixing on a set of behringer truth monitors and right in the middle of the track the left speaker starts playing country music! Then I realize its picking up an FM radio station.. what the hell?!! I mean its a speaker, not a radio... how is this even possible? I turned off the mixer going into the speaker and it was still playing. Now whenever I fire up my monitors I get country music! please tell me how to fix this, obviously who wants to hear Toby Keith vocals over a 4/4 beat...

LOL

This once happened to a phone line, made it impossible to conntect to the internet. The phone company sent us a little filter though.

A few things to try with the speakers. Get some shielding for the cords, or run the cords in a different place, or maybe move to another part of the room if that's possible. You might also call up the manufacturer of the speaker, there's no doubt they've seen this before.

What cables you using? Unbalanced or balanced. You're much more prone to picking up interference with unbalanced cables (though you are not completely safe with balanced ones).
KilldaDJ

Balanced cables but the connections are unbalanced so that would make the whole thing unbalanced I guess.. But it doesnt matter, I have taken the whole trs cable out of it so its just a naked speaker sitting there, nothign feeding it and BAM country music is coming out

I had the same problem with my Truths and I was using balanced cables. You want know what the solution is....sell your monitors FAST!
The next thing that happened to me was, my amplifiers burned and then the tweeter died. I tried to contact the official Behringer dealer in Canada several times to buy the tweeter and replace it myself, but no reply.
Then I bought Dynaudios and I was in heaven.

This has happened to me before, i noticed something weird playing in the background of one of the songs i was playing. i stopped the vinyl and it was a radio station. never found out why this happened.

hmm I have a hard time believing these relatively new speakers are shot since theyve never hit "limit" once and I take care of them like theyre my children. Also I've never heard of an FM signal frying any kind of electronics
TranceMuzik02
Never had that but my speakers do beep once in a while, probably due to the mobile phone and TV etc

I can't explain the science about it, but depending on the speakers, you might be able to pick up certain radio stations in certain situations.

Hopefully, it's very soft and mostly unnoticeable... :D

It happens, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

hey cheggy
Oh man, I thought this was a joke. Good to hear Behringer has done it again.
