He was a replacement, entered in the 60th minute, makes the assistance for the only goal of the game (in the 91 th minute), and 2 minutes later, the ref shows him the yellow card for losing time, smiles, and falls down.
1h40 later, he's declared dead.
I think I'll never forget that game for the rest of my life, the players, the coach, all crying. No mattered the color on the shirt or the name of the clubs: in that moment, all was forgotten.

It's freakin' sad.

reminds me so much of the Foe incident was really saddening, and with 2 deaths in under a year, is there more that can be done by club doctors or something, it's confusing as to how 'healthy' ppl can just die so quickly, esp in their 20s

Sad, indeed. My deepest sympathies.

As someone who recently finished playing youth soccer (U-18), it is especially terrible to read about deaths that occur on the pitch.

My deepest condolences go out to all those affected by this terrible tragedy.

RIP Miklos... may your spirit live on in all Benfica players and fans, and all the football-involved in the world.:(

Almost a week later, and i'm still in a bit of a daze over this. A true reminder to all of us that our number could be up at any time.
Any results on the field for Benfica (my club)this year will be meaningless, as futebol takes a back seat to life in times like this. That being said, it would be nice for Benfica to win any trophies in the next couple of years, ...it would be something to honour Miki by.

of all the ways to spend your final few moments, helping your team pull out a last minute victory has to be near the top.
