| I got a VMX 300 and I'm very happy about it. A decent mixer for a fair price. |

| id go with a vestax, i have a stanton rm-3s which is allmost exactly the same as the 401. i wouldnt recomend it as an upgrade. the nobs get sticky, and the faders are not very smooth. vestax makes really good stuff. |

thats SOUNDS like a good idea, but once you upgrade, and master it a year or whatnot down the line you will upgrade again, and again, adding in more features to make use of. i do not have any mixer suggestions though, but from my own experience you may want to save up a little longer and get something you will be pleased with for a longer time than just the next level. |
