Just an interesting point to bring up--net/net it really doesn't mean that much, but found it interesting enough no less.

Three out of the four times that a candidate has won both the Iowa and New Hampshire caucuses, that candidate has gone on to win the nomination. The only exception was Muskie in 1972, the first year of the Iowa caucuses, when McGovern won the nomination. On the other hand, the other Democrat nominees can draw some support from 1992, when Clinton lost both Iowa and New Hampshire and went on to win the nomination.
