Hello!

I want to add some good effects to my effect list. Currently I am using the fruity effects, but I also want some others to use. I am mainly looking for a good:

- delay
- equalizer
- reeverb
- flanger
- compressor

Do you musicians know any good (free) vst effect plugins?? Please post them here.

Thanks!

Here we go (though they aren't exactly free, it's not too hard to get them freely ;), demo versions, of course!):
- Delay: PSP has a good ones, db-t Delay, you can also use NI built-in delays (Pro53, FM7, etc...) because it sounds really... you know.
- EQ: Voxengo has a good FFT EQ, Steinberg FreeFilter, Ultrafunk EQ, Waves EQ.
- Revrb: Ambience (donationware), WavesRverb, Waves Trueverb, Prosoniq Reverb, PSP Reverb.
-Flanger: SpinDelay FX, Waves Modulation, also some delay units are able to work as a flangers, chorus, etc...
- Compressor: singleband: Waves C1+, TC, dB-T, PSP... Multiband: Ozone, Ultrafunk, Prosoniq Dinasone, Waves,...
Buff..., there are a lot of plugs that sounds well. But if you let me recommend you: a very, very good bundle: Waves, good reverbs, good eq and compressor. Maybe its delays aren't so good (non VSTTempo synced). dB-T are also good, but they are only DirectX. Ultrafunk, PSP and Prosoniq have another good plugin bundles.

Good Luck!

Waves Renverb is generally regarded as the best software reverb (other than convo. verbs). Waves IR1 is quite nice.

Waves RenEQ is a top flight EQ, as are the Pultec EQ and Sony Oxford.

Delays, go for PSP for sound quality.

Bomb Factory compressors seem to be leading the pack so far, but since these aren't available as vst, I would look into the C1 and C4 compressors from Waves.
