Dude, please DON'T COMPARE Danny Tenaglia with Armin Van Buuren nor Paul Van Dyk. TOTALLY DIFFERENT Genres of Electronica music.
Digweed and Tenaglia I can understand comparison there, they play similar types of music, but Tenaglia and AVB or PVD, I Don't Think So!

forget it Adam, there is no use trying to explain Danny to people who haven't seen him.
Adam isn't trying to compare them really, he is saying that Danny is a PvD/Armin of his own genre, or perhaps even beyond that. Danny Tenaglia is a legend and if you haven't ever seen him, tonight is the night.
I was once ignorant and talked trash but I have now seen the light. Danny impresses my socks off. And his anniversary party is NOT to be missed.

| i can understand ppl being upset cuz what adam said.. if youre a fan of armin van boring or paul van dull, you wouldnt want someone saying 'dont waste your money on them..' but i know where he's coming from.. yes i like trance because it is the most emotional genre which melody creates the mood but you must understand where this whole ing dance music came from.. HOUSE MUSIC.. yes house music came from disco but disco is no longer here.. house music is.. and DT is one of true pioneers of house music that paved the way for many many djs in nyc.. one who was a clubber before a dj getting schooled by legends like larry levan and timmy regisford.. nyc is world renown for the ny deep house and dubs.. and because of djs like tenaglia we[nyc] got/gets props internationally.. gotta understand, before the bloom of the european super djs, nyc was all about the residents.. humphries, tenaglia, vasquez, morillo, louie vega..etc.. these djs were the first to get international props way before pvd, armin, tiesto etc.. its cool ppl like trance cuz i do too, but you should try to have an open mind and explore the roots of this .. and who better to start your lesson on ? DT.. ppl will die to have him weekly elsewhere.. dt probably can destroy majority of trance djs just on technical skills alone.. i got mad respects for the man and you should too.. check him out ! [of course this message was to the serious clubbers that seek the realness] peace. |

i've seen DT a few times, and everytime i have, he's knocked my socks off.
if i lived in/close to NYC or not buried under 3 feet of snow
I WOULD DEFINITELY BE THERE!!!

DT & Carl Cox at Twilo on Presidents day was one of the best, if not the best parties I've ever attended. The temperature that night was well below freezing and I waited a good 2.5 hours on line but it was totally worth it. Caught the very end of Carl's set, which I was disappointed about but once DT came on the atmosphere/vibe in that room was overwhelming. He played across the board and every track fit perfectly within his set.
Moral of the story is when it comes to track selection, programming, and keeping a good vibe on the floor nobody quite does it like DT.
