Unlike what the first post says, GTA: San Andreas has just NOW been announced (confirmed) - details in the link.

Well, when you hear like "PlayStation 2 exclusive," the exclusivety of it all usually only covers consoles and not the PC market, so I would say there's a very good chance that you'll be seeing int come out on the PC sometime after its initial release on the PS2 this fall. |

Here's a little quote from Rockstar's website confirming the release date and in fact, confirming that the official name of the game will be Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas:
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be available exclusively for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and is expected to be in stores in North America on October 19, 2004 and in Europe on October 22, 2004.

I thought GTA3 was Tommy Vercetti. I know Vice City is Tommy as well. They both look pretty alike to me. |

Tommy wasnt in gta3, the gta3 guy didnt have a name. |

| in addition to those pesky helicopters, i'd like to be able to shoot down planes and blimps which you couldn't do in Vice City :D |
