hi
Im intrested in buying Cdplayers and a good mixer . with mmy budget i decided to buy a Fusion818 package from numark that comes with
2 *axis 8
and DXM01 mixer .
since im a newbie and Im used to using "TRAKTOR"software for djing. I need your help. I heard that im not able to match the beats from CD1 to CD2. in traktor software you can do that by just clicking on a "sync" button. but seems like most CD players dont have that option . I know that CMX5000 from pioneer is able to do that but i dont like dual cd players. is there any CD player that is able to do that ?
have any of you used Fusion818 . is it easy to match the beats from CD1 to CD2 . I dont know exactly what is meant by "Auto synchronization" .I need some good advice ASAP . since I want to buy my dj equipments soon.

thanx a lot

i wouldnt kno much about the equipment itslef, so someone else will have to answer that for ya...

To match the beats from CD1 to CD 2...you'll have to use a unique concept... You'll actually have to listen to the cd music and try to match it by ear....

Your name is "raver_6969". You use auto sync. You want CD Decks with auto sync functionality. You'll problably find more help on mtv.com or something.

Traktor is not dj'ing, but that's ok, i've seen much worse...

Honestly the only BPM counter i trust is that of the DJM-600... other than that, i know the one on the behringer mixers really suck.
Also i don't trust the Axis family of players...

You're better off with a dual cd player, if even crossfades for you :p

like i stated in a previous thread, I have two axis 9's and they are great cd players, I have no complaints about them. They work great, they have awesome features, and they're really easy to use.

Now, if you rely on beat-counters to do your mixing, you need to stop. granted behringer BPM counters arent good, but that shouldnt matter because you shouldnt be using them to mix.

thanx man . what abut axis8 and the mixer that comes in fusion818 package. are they good? I have "Creative " speakers that I use for my computer . they are pretty good . can I hook up my dj system to them ? do i need an amp too?. cause I think "creative " speakers have an amp in the subwoofer.
borron
I wouldn't do that, creative speakers plugged to the system... it must sound horrible. It's better if you buy some other speakers (hi-fi ones, even if cheap) and an amp.

axis 8's are just the older version of the 9's, so i'm usre they work fine.

about sound, it depends on what you're going to do. if you're going to be playing out of your house, then buy a separate sound system. if you want to do that, you have 2 options. you can buy powered speakers, in which case you don't need an amp, but you don't get the same power and sound quality. OR you can buy an amp/speaker setup, like me. I have a Crown XLS400 and 2 Community MVP 35's. that's a pretty powerful setup, so you gotta choose depending on what you need.

thanx
I live in a dorm . So I dont need anything really powerful . but for a small doem dr you think i should buy some speakers and an amp or am i able to use my creative speakers ?. thanx

man...take a chance and dj the real way...dont use no AUTO SYNC or BPM counters to mix...if so...i can get my little cousins to mix some records too

and if you have been djing for 5 years why do you have no knowledge whatsoever about dj equipment and audio stuff?

heres a solution...go rent some dual cd players and a mixer...see how you like it..if you dont...(chances are you wont if uve been mixing wth traktor for a long time) then ditch the idea and keep mixing with traktor
