I finished a composition. This is what happens when a 4 year trance producer starts doing classical.. It's fast and in Minor probably due to my trance roots ;) Trance Mixes are welcome

Feedback is welcome as well!
hey cheggy
Interesting. It's like trance at church. The melody and composition is good, but some of the synths are a little bit simple. Still sounds nice though

Your probably talking about that choir - that's Spectrasonics Atmosphere.. I've been meaning to get some better choirs but the ones in Spectrasonics will have to do for now.

The melodies are pretty good man. The choirs are pretty, and this sounds very technical.

I sense many emotions here man. It has this melancholy feel, which I totally dig now, since I am a bit in the dumps at the moment :happy2:

The melody is great - I can imagine more instruments, but that is up to you. ;)
alanzo
The "meloncholy" feel is becuase it is in minor and because of the choice of instruments.

I was thinking about putting in a tubular bell and a piano but decided to keep it simple and adhere to a more chambor music style.

Thanks for the comments, more are welcome

A Tubular Bell would be interesting - don't know about the piano. The choice of instruments were good, a tad bit dry, but I know you kept it like that on purpose. Don't wanna make damp trancey leads all the time ;)

I love organs man. I have this organ VSTi that I usually mess with on my spare times. Make these frightening melodies, that could fit in a funeral sometimes!

Yeah, I'm a fan of the minor melody arrangements. I try to stay away from Majors, but that depends on my mood, but lately, the 'minor' melody arrangements have been my friend.

most trance is in minor to give it an "edge" so being a fan of it is a good thing.

as for what I was thinking with the piano was using it in the lower octaves around the middle of the track for a little bit more emphases on the bass - but I liked it the way it is so I kept it simple :happy2:

Trance at church indeed, haha. I'm generally not a big fan of organ sounds but this still sounds pretty cool.

And yeah, while the choir in atmosphere is good for some things it just sounds too artificial here, getting a better sample would definitely help you.
