Simple XP Problem lol help!

| Ok any peeps with Windows XP please help! How do I get rid of the box surrounding the text of the names of my icons on my desktop?! I just want it so its the white text not a whole box around it, makes it look stupid :whip: Simple I know but I cant find it in Appearance of Desktop settings :confused: |

Ahh... my XP is in finnish so I'll do the best I can...
Right click your "My Computer" icon and select Preferences.
There should be a page called "additional settings" (or something similar) from where you should select "Performance" and then "Visual settings".
One of the check-boxes in that menu should do the trick. |

| Well that helped put the fonts I had back to normal! Coz I was in about wi settings it had changed it all :confused: But there isnt an option there that lets you get rid of the boxes!!! :wtf: |

| use a different theme or select the option, customise for appearance |

There is, it's just named differently.
It should be something like "use icon text shades" or something similar. |
