Reason Clipping driving me nuts!

Situation: Im playing with redrum and a few refills - everythings going fine. Got 6 channels, 3 effects (reverb - default hall preset), delay - (default 3 step preset) and compression (70,45,5,15 on the 4 dials).
Everything is going fine when 5 of the 6 channels play together. However, the 6th channel, a sample helpfully titled 'Percussion 6' is clipping constantly. I have set the level to 0 - it stops. I set the level to 1(!) and it starts to clip. All effects turned off on it, it clips all the time. However, if i solo this channel it plays fine - with effects or without, at an audible level.
My question is - can i export this channel 'solo' in a none clipping form and then use cubase to put the 6 channels back together - cancelling out Reasons clipping annoyance, or will it effectively just transfer the problem over to cubase too?
In all honesty, it doesnt even sound like its clipping - and i have turned the speakers up pretty loud to check. I havent exported it yet tho - as a matter of fact, im not even sure what the defined audio level for clipping is in Reason! |

It might happen because a) the perc line clashes with some other line or b) you've messed up your fx settings which causes it to generate wild feedback.
There is also a possibilty that it's something completely else that does the clipping, the additional perc line merely drives it "over the edge", so to speak.
But my main fear is that you have something completely wrong here since I've never heard of such an indicent before... |

i havent got a clue whats up with it, but my Reason has done this too me before. Its not helping matters that my computer is not set up primarily as a DAW and basically my sound hardware is lacking to say the least! IT strangely seems to have sorted itself now when I have given it a break for 10 mins whilst reading the forums! bizarreeeeee! |
