Hamilton TA meet up: Max Graham at Sole...anyone interested? (pg. 2)

never been to sole, but as far as i know, no dress code, cheap cover, and beer under 4 bucks
it's hamilton, they can't have high prices. or dress code. |

As far as I know, Max Graham spins some GREAT progressive, and you should know that I am not a big progressive fan, it gets me bored easily. I have some of his livesets, which are proggy 'n good, and his Transport 4 CD, which is FABULOUS! So it should be good. I'd come if the cover would not exceed20 bucks ... and I've heard tickets to his events are pretty expensive. Like the time last year when I wanted to go to his gig in Toronto 2 summers ago and it was like 40 bucks. WTF .... But yeah, he will not disappoint. The venue might disappoint, looks pretty weak and shaky (cheap and easy) ... :nervous:
Oh, yeah, almost forgot - it would be nice to know the FINAL info regarding meet-up place and such (club info + confirmation) by no later than February 20, as I dont have a PC now, I MOVED OUT! I dont even have a TV!!! And I dont plan to go on library computers all the time ...:disbelief |

I say meeting at Tim Horton's is a bad idea simply cuz there's literally one on every street corner. People are likely to screw up the meeting spot if we meet there. I say we meet at the Gown and Gavel in Hess villiage. Any other suggestions? |
Yeah 10 mins is about right, lets hope its not gonna be ass cold. Theres gotta be a bar somewhere nearer for a meet-up, but I can't think of one. This is why I normally go AWAY from h-town to party. Can't miss Max tho, never heard him play but my friends hyped him up for me. |

max graham does not spin progressive only.
he just plays good in music.
my buddy was talking to him and max said he'd throw on some techno for him.

As far as cover goes, I bet it will be 10 bucks, no more than 20 for sure.
Dress code is mandatory mullet, preferably greasy, 80s rock band t-shirt, and converse high-tops with tight tapered jeans. Just kidding. It's a pretty chill club, sorta like a scaled down system soundbar..for lack of a better descreption.
One problem with meeting, how are we going to recognise each other? I suppose I could just book a table so if you show up and ask for the "tranceaddict table" the waitress or whoever can direct those that show up...sorta like when we meet at Fion McCool's in TO before a party. |

i'll be working then just show up at sole when i'm done work. then go back to work after max's set. i dont think sole is open till 5 am |

| So far I am in. The meet-up (Hess Village) sounds good. I'll have to confirm again sometime during the week of the party. For identification purposes - I'll be the tall guy with a blue toque (winter hat, eh). I guess it would be nice if someone would order a TA table. |

| Gown & Gavel sounds like the best idea. Im gonna come for sure, but dont know how late im gonna be. Drew, make a reservation under Tranceaddict for 10 (if you havent already). I think 10pm would be a good meetup time as well. |

| Lets see if theres any TO area TA's who are hardcore enough to make the drive for this party (like i have to for every Toronto party). My guess is maybe 1 or 2 will show. |
