dont call people ignorant mr mystery you just said logic if for mac only but they also make logic for pc. logic 5.5 was the last version made for pc. apple decided to buy logic and stop making it for pcs.

Logic 5.5 for PC is still one of the most top-of-the-line products out there. I've been playing around with it and hate it so far =P

can reason be used through cubase? and if so does this just provide more sound options?
dj-sean
Yeah, you can bring Reason into many applications through ReWire, like CuBase, Logic, and hell even Buzz, hehe. I've never done this as I'm not a Reason user though, so can't really help you with the specifics.

heh I moved from Logic to Cubase SX last year. Why ? Logic version 6 will never see the light of day on a PC because Apple bought over Emagic and Apple being Apple decided that us PC users do not deserve Logic anymore.

Even funnier, I was originaly using Cubase then switched to Logic 2 years ago because Cubase kept crashing all the time and the GUI within Logic is amazing. But I will say I am glad that I moved back. because Cubase SX 2 is nothing like the old bloated and buggy Cubase 5.x. Cubase SX is Nuendo. SX has 100% VST and Rewire compatibilty. Infact, I will go a bit further and say Cubase SX sounds better than Logic. SX has a warm well balanced sound yet Logic seems to boost its mid frequencies.

As for support, Cubase has got its own user support forum cubase.net and logic has nowt.

Gah, so many choices! Making the jump to a high end system is a difficult task, hehe.
