What is the thing that is filmed bounig around at the end of the video?

Open 2 video players and play each video (outside view and cockpit) at the same time. If it's correlated well, it's pretty cool.

Yup...as mentioned...this was at the Boise Airshow over at Mountain Home AFB...missed that one though, I was flying that day.

Not to pick on you personally, but I never quite understood this expression "it was so ______, it wasn't even funny."

Like in this example... Of course it's not funny, like duh. It's not meant to be. It's supposed to be like "holy look at that".

Anyway,

Once again, nothing personal SuperFarStucker. Just thought I'd bring it up and momentarily hijack the thread.

it's just a common expression. he's not saying it's funny, it just means that it's shocking, crazy, awesome....

it can mean a lot of different things depending upon the situation you use it in. :)

In that case, he meant... that he came so close to dying that it was unbelievable that he didn't die.

cool pictures...

My dad’s best friend is an ex Harrier pilot and his nickname is Wiley (as in the cartoon cyote), because he’s had so many near death experiences. One of which was an emergency landing because of an engine failure. He landed the jet, hopped out of the cockpit, and started running like hell. The jet blew up after he got about 100 yards from it. It was like something out of Hollywood.

Also, Lockheed Martin is coming out w/ a superjet (not for a while though). I forget the name of it. My dad works for a British company called Smith Industries, but his office is at Lockheed Martin’s headquarters in Dallas, TX. Anyway, this jet is supposed to have like everything. It will hover in mid air like the Harrier, and supposedly it’s going to shoot lasers like in star wars...crazy huh?

kind of off topic, but somewhat related...

Join Strike Fighter, also called F-35
Holland bought about 80 of them, they'll get here around 2010-2012

i've been an F-16 mechanic for 3 years till last september, so i can tell something about it. he didn't have enough airspeed, that why the aircraft had a stall. you basically can't get out of it, maybe only when you've got enough altitude.
the thing bouncing after the crash looks like the pilot's chair to me, it comes loose once the parachute has opened up

You mean the part that goes flying waaay out in front? When this happened last year, it got some news coverage, and I vaguely remember some ex-pilot commenting about that. He seemed to think it was the entire jet engine plus its housing, and the reason it tumbled so far was that the engine was still spinning and had some serious momentum.
