Hey guys, i'm looking for some advice...i jsut made a continuous mix in acid...and i'm looking for a way to burn it on a cd, other than on just one track...everything i have tried, just puts it on one track, or puts space in between them...can anyone help me?

personaly i use a rather "stupid" method but it works so what the hell...

i use nero (a burning program) and then drag the file into the "what do u want on the cd" section then alter each file individualy, using the boundarys that you can place, to single out the areas that i want burned for each track. oh and i make sure the delay is set to zero.

dunno if nero is free software or not but they dish it out alot coz i have 3 copies :)

i use cuemaster to create a dummy cue sheet, go and alter the times to match the tracks, then burn with CDRwin v3 using the cue sheet. Takes v.little time to note the track points, setup and start burning.

use feurio . You can record your mix with it.. import wav projects such as livesets or your mixes and very easy editing feature that allows you to mark tracks and also burn it straight from it.. even gimps can use this!;)

thanks a lot guys

or use the winning combination: feurio AND cuefiles

just be careful, for some reason it appears to delete the original mp3/wav file after burning with a cue. lost a mix once that way, so be sure to make a copy of the file.

I use soundforge to manually cut up large files, not only does it give me more control than cue files, but I can also play certain tracks in winamp without having to burn it to cd first. Oh yeah and I can edit things out, like for Ferry's Right Of Way concert, I edited out like 5 mins of the MC.

mp3direct cut works great...

Actually, that's not true... If you edit your cue file manually with a text editor, you will see that all it is is a list of track markers denoted by a time. These times are accurate to a single frame, which is equivalent to 1/70th of a second. This is the principle upon which CD's work... there is no possible smaller unit of time on a CD than a single frame. So in fact you can't be more accurate with Soundforge.

i've been using acoustica mp3 audio mixer. it has a cool visual interface and it is really easy to set cue marks. it's really cheap too.

What about for non-realtime mixing? what do you use?

mp3 audioixer also lets you record to it. once you record your wav file, you can set your volume, and set cue marks. once you set cue marks, you save the mp3s and load them into nero or whatever you use. just make sure you leave no pauses between files.
