I'm sure most of you saw this classic posted on djmixes2k.

For those of you that listened, is it me or did PVD's mixing improve greatly from that set to today. I mean Paul usually lays down flawless sets nowadays, but in this one I heard so many pitch adjustments, I was just shocked. I'm sure if this was some other dj, I would prolly say that the mixing was flawless, but I guess that myself and prolly most of you are a little harder on Paul.

I dont know, I thought his mixing was pretty good. Although he was mixing some slow -> fast tempo tracks.

Paul hasnt been laying down flawless sets nowaday in my eyes. IMO he has lost his edge.....i enjoy his older much more. PVD in 2002 was the

i love pvd now and back then. but i liked him more back then. the tracks he used to spin were awesome like members of mayday - 10 in 01 and jam and spoon - be angeled, both great tracks. but i never got to see him live because i was too young only heard recorded live sets. now i can see him live and its just amazing. wish i could hear those old tracks he used to spin in 01-02 in a club i love those tracklists he had. DEF CHOONS!

yea.. i agree that pvd hasnt been himself nowadays.. i think he was the best in 99-2000. that was a great year for us PVD followers.

Well I'm sure we all agree that his style was a little different and more energetic back then, but still no one heard his numerous pitch adjustments in this set?
Maybe its my trained dj ear, so for all u djs, u had to hear it...

I downloaded that set but havent listened to it yet. Im sure i would pick up on the pitch adjustments though. You dont have to be a DJ to have a "trained ear";)

your point? or was it just another pointless post?

I think they (DJMixes) commented on how this was recorded on an old-school tape player or something. Maybe that affects the quality? I haven't heard it in its entirety yet, so don't know for sure.
