£200 down the drain, need help.....

| Basically, i was supposed to go to New York on the 24th March until the 15th April to see my girlfriend. Due to a number of reasons, i can not now do this and today phoned up expedia to see if i could change the outgoing date to the next day, which they said no to. What shall i do? Im still going but im kinda lost. Money is really tight and i aint in a good mood coz the lass on the phone from expedia said i only get my airport tax back, which is £55, and that could take up to 3 months to do. Any advice? |

| you can usually change dates like that for a fee (which is usually quite a bit) and if there is space on the day you need it. |

Got to do a presentation in History that is 30% towards final mark, mum and dads 25th wedding annivorsory. ing uni is stupid, why not have the presentation after easter!!! URG!!!!
Its just odd because my mate was in usa, and he wanted to come back a day early, forgot why, and he paid a 60$ change fee to come back a day early.
So you think im ed?
Im going to have to buy another ticket coz i cant go until summer without seeing jessica, it would kill me:( ing women lol |

| can you not lie to uni and say you have a private family event on that day? most unis are ok, and if you ask to do it early i cant see them complaining |

| i'd just tell the uni the truth and show them the tickets! tell them you didnt know about the presentation and youre willing to do it anytime else that they like. mine would be ok with that i think, they are human! |

I guess that i could ask before i like go and buy a whole new ticket, its just that it is group work and i am not sure about the time and stuff, coz there is two weeks to do the presentation in, and i asked our group if it could be done in the first week and they were fine about it, i guess i could talk to the women.
Its an electronic ticket so only got a piece of paper with all info on it lol |

if you end up not going, assuming its a return ticket, post jessica the ticket so she can come over and see you. that way you will get to see her, and she will only have to pay a one-way fare back to the US :) |
