FERRY CORSTENS FIRST EVER ARTIST ALBUM

“Right Of Way” Showcases The Diversity Of Ferry Corsten
CD with Bonus DVD In Stores February 24, 2004
Digital Download available on iTunes February 17th

Los Angeles, CA – January 31st – Ferry Corsten is making the finest music of his life and has now become one of the most important dance artists of his generation. Ferry has continuously remained at the forefront of the global scene. A fitting place for an artist who's had multiple chart hits, sold one million mix CDs, and is widely regarded as one of the top DJ’s in the world.

Ferry has created a genre-defying blend of house, electro, breaks, trance and rock with 'Right Of Way' (his debut artist album under his own name). “This album basically reflects me, what I am as a producer, what I am as an artist. That I’m not really for one style only, I’ve never been”.

Perfect examples of his new musical direction are his first two singles from the album, 'Punk' and 'Rock Your Body Rock'. 'Punk's' dirtier, more electro feel caught the ears of fans and media alike upon its release, and in the process, introduced Ferry to a whole new audience to add to his burgeoning legion of worldwide fans. Its follow up ‘Rock Your Body, Rock’ is set to be even bigger smash as it remains in the top 20 on Billboard dance singles chart.

The punkish ‘Whatever’ is a new wave slab of dirty vocal electronica that with a pop sentiment. Elsewhere on the vocal front is 'Show Your Style', a fired-up call to arms sung by Dutch popstar Birgit; the down-tempo breaks of 'Holding On' and the pure pop of 'Skindeep' (both featuring Shelley Harland on vocals); and the techno-vibe of 'Hearts Connected'. 'It's Time', meanwhile, is an outstanding vocal breakbeat track that builds beautifully into a crescendo of trance harmonics.

Throughout the album you'll find the kind of signature anthems that have made Ferry a worldwide star. The aptly titled 'Sublime' makes a perfect album opener with its dreamy, atmospheric trance-lite chords, whilst tracks like 'Kyoto' and 'Star Traveller' demonstrate Ferry's dazzling ability to create trance that combines intelligent structures with beautiful melodies. The album finishes with the stunning 'In My Dreams', a blissed out down-tempo breaks track with a suitably sun-kissed piano-line.

'Right Of Way' confirms what many have believed for some time - namely that Ferry is one of dance music's most exciting and original talents - it's now time for the rest of the world to catch up.

The US release of ‘Right Of Way’ contains; a bonus DVD featuring an interview with Ferry, videos for ‘Rock Your Body, Rock’, ‘Punk’ and ‘Right Of Way’, video biography, and live footage of Ferry at Club Glow.

is this dvd going to be better than the one that came with his spundae set cd? if that cd hadnt been good, i would have been pretty pissed off that the "bonus dvd" only had a few things on it plus a slide show of that night.
