Why comment on the obvious? Stupid threads are what make this forum so rich. :disbelief

Hungarian Polka died in 2001 when Progressive Polka became cool.

well it evolved from dark trance...2001 seemed like around when it really broke out, maybe earlier.

for me, different music serves different purposes, I feel bad for ppl that limit themselves to one genre.

I mean..trancier elements are so full of beuaty, so ethereal, whereas housier elements can so so insanely dirty and sexy. Both have merit IMO.

to the dismay of many djs the great majority of dance music (all genres) being produced and released at the moment sucks balls, i find my self often disappointed when i go record shopping after digging through hordes of stacks after stacks of records crates only to find very few good tracks.

real deep progressive has always been good and it is still good now but the good stuff is so scarce (watch out for promos, white labels, and dub plates!), as matter of fact some of the more underground and low key progressive is very bass heavy, dark, and tribalish. the same applies to the various sub gernes of trance :(
